Technology
ORANGEFREEZING™ SOLUTIONS impingement freezers use high-velocity air jets directed from both above and below the product to rapidly remove the insulating boundary layer of air surrounding it. This method accelerates the freezing process dramatically—often matching or exceeding the speed of cryogenic systems—while operating with significantly lower running costs. The design ensures that the cold air hits the product surface directly and uniformly, minimizing freezing time and improving product quality by reducing ice crystal formation inside the product.

Applications
These freezers are especially effective for flat or thin food products that benefit from rapid surface freezing. Typical applications include hamburger patties, bacon strips, potato products (like fries or hash browns), fish fillets, and crust-freezing delicate items before packaging or slicing. By freezing quickly, the system reduces cell damage, enhances texture retention, and maintains the visual appeal of high-value foods.
Steel and Mesh Belt
The ORANGEFREEZING SOLUTIONS Impingement freezers are available with different types of belts to suit various production needs. Steel belts provide a smooth, solid surface ideal for fragile or sticky products requiring full support and uniform crust freezing. Mesh belts, typically made of stainless steel wire, allow better airflow and drainage, making them suitable for products with coatings or irregular shapes. Both types can be configured in single or multi-lane layouts to match specific throughput requirements.
Hygiene
The ORANGEFREEZING SOLUTIONS Hygiene is a core element in the design of Orange Freezing Solutions’ equipment. All impingement freezers are built from stainless steel with hygienic welds, sloped surfaces, and easy-access panels for thorough cleaning. The design supports clean-in-place (CIP) systems, reducing downtime while maintaining high sanitation standards. These machines meet strict food safety regulations, such as HACCP and EHEDG, ensuring reliable performance in even the most demanding food production environments.
